Gallery Exhibit

I recently (October 2023) was honored to have a themed show at Stephen Smith Gallery in Topeka. The theme was Sanibel Island in Florida, and the show coincided with the one-year anniversary of the devastation of Hurricane Ian.

Most paintings were in oil, one acrylic and one watercolor. They were based on photos from my visits to Sanibel as well as from other Sanibel bird lovers. The island is known for its abundant shelling, but I was equally entranced by the colorful foliage of the sea grapes, the ever-changing moods of the gulf, and the elegant birds.
